- Usage Data: Statistics on website usage, such as page visits (anonymized).
- Payment Data: Handled securely through third-party processors (not stored by us).
Purpose for processing your data
When using our booking widget provided by Chauffeur Drive Systems, you will be asked to provide information such as your name, contact details, and payment information. This information is used to process your booking, provide quotes, and communicate with you regarding your booking or inquiry. The information you submit is stored securely in the Chauffeur Drive Systems software and is encrypted. Payment details are handled through Stripe and are securely processed, with card information stored in an encrypted format within the Chauffeur Drive Systems platform. If an enquiry is sent to our offices by email it falls under our emails retention policy.
Payment and Card Information
When you pay an invoice, you are using a third-party payment processor, Stripe. We use Stripe’s secure checkout facility for all payments, but we do not directly process or store your card details. We send the invoice value, currency, and invoice number to Stripe, and Stripe takes over to process the payment securely. Once the payment is completed, Stripe notifies us, and we update the status of your invoice as “paid.”
Storing Card Information
When you book directly through our booking widget, your card details will be captured. This process is managed by Stripe, not by us. Your card details are stored securely in your Stripe account, not in our system. You can access and manage your stored cards directly through your Stripe account. We will have access to charge you once your booking is confirmed.
Once your card is stored in Stripe, Stripe provides us with a unique token that is linked to your account. This token can only be used for transactions related to your specific account and cannot be used elsewhere. We store this token, along with the expiry date and the last four digits of your card number, in our encrypted database.
Please note, we do not store your full card details, only the token provided by Stripe for secure transactions. You have the option to delete any stored tokens at any time, either directly through your Stripe account or by contacting us for assistance in removing the token from our system.
- The quotes you request will be automatically deleted if you decide to accept. If the quote you request/save is not accepted, we will retain this information in case you decide to accept it in the future. If you wish to have your quote or personal data removed from the system, you must notify us directly, and we will delete it upon request.
- We retain your details for the purpose of providing services to you and will store your information in our system as long as you remain an active customer. If you decide to no longer use our services, we will delete your details within 6 months of receiving notification from you.
- Your details are stored for the purposes outlined above, and we will retain them as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations and for compliance with legal requirements.
- We have taken extra steps to insure the data you provide us with is dealt with in a safe manner:
- Our site is hosted on SSL (secure socket layer) which means communications between the site and server are fully encrypted (for instance when you submit a booking through our booking widget)
- Emails sent to us by our site are sent via TLS (Transport Layer Security)
